Langtang trekking area is one of the wildest and most scenic areas in Nepal. Along this route we will see great Rhododendron forest, conifers on the more gradual slopes, high alpine because yak pastures, glaciers and lake of Gosaikunda along with massive peaks. This route also lets us experience the goats, deer and birds. Botanicals life is also abundant. There are the peaks of Ganesh, Langtang and jugle Himalaye, the most accessible ranges from the capital and popular with trekkers on account of this proximity.
Helambhu, about 75kms north of Kathmandu is an area inhabited by Sherpas. The Helambhu trek is popular it is short stay below 3500 meters and is feasible all winter. The language and culture and dress of the Helambhu Sherpas are very different from Solu Khumbhu Sherpas. It takes 8 days to trek from Kathmandu to Helambhu and back, or 12 to 14 days to include both Langtang and Helambhu in a single trek without any backtracking.

Kanchenjunga

Kanchenjunga means “the mountain of Jewells” and it is said that famous saga guru Padmasambhav buried the treasures of knowledge on this most beautiful mountain. It is so revered by the locals that the lepchas of Sikkim dance in tribute to its once a year. Much more than a trek, it is a journey of discovery.
Kanchenjunga is the third highest peak in the world lies in the Eastern board of Nepal with India. Rara And Dolpa

Rara is the biggest and deepest fresh water lake in the Nepal Himalayas, it is the main features of Rara National Park, located in Jumla and Mugu districts .Summer is quite pleasant and winter is cold. Rara is a clear, high altitude Lake ringed with pine. Spruce and juniper forests and snowcapped Himalayan peaks.
Rara lake being surrounded by Rara National Park, has unique flora fauna importance with rare and vulnerable species. Rara lake has been a popular destination Nepal for trekkers. Going along the Mountain path and some villages one can reach the bank of Rara Lake. The best time to visit is October and September and April to May.
The route is very much ‘off the beaten track’ and affords glimpses of cultures and scenery very different from that in the rest of Nepal. The rich vegetation, wildlife, the spectacular scenery seems from here and the serene atmosphere makes this place unique.
Dolpo is the most remote and least developed areas situated in the Trans Himalayan region of Mid- Western Nepal. It has fascinating villages and is still a land of mistery, scenery and peace. Dolpo, including the Ringmo or Phoksundo Lake was opened to organized trekking groups only in the year 1989. It is possible to visit Tibetan style ‘inner dolpa’ villages in Trap and Phoksundo Lake there. Both Buddhist and Hindu people inhabit the region equally. The region abounds in a host of snow peaks including the seventh highest peak in the world. We commence our trek by flying to the small airstrip of Jumla and we end it with a flight from Japal to Nepalgunj and travel by bus or fly back to Kathmandu.

Mustang

Dolpo Mustang

Dolpo is located inside Shey Phoksundo National Park of Mid-Western Nepal, behind the North side of Dhaulagiri massif towards the Tibetan Plateau. Cut off by a series of very high passes, closed by snow most the year, Dolpo remains truly and isolated corner of Nepal. Time has stood still here centuries, so has inhabitant’s way and wonderful variety of plants and wildlife, including the blue sheep and snow leopard.
Upper Dolpo is difficult to reach and is very arid. We pass through a great variation of scenery between Dolpo and Mustang, rice and wheat fields, incredible mountains and a high-altitude desert, all in the rain shadow of the Himalaya. This variation makes this trek very interesting.

Lo Manthang

Treeking to Lo Manthang, Mustang is a sensational journey beyond the Himalayan to one of the most remote kingdom on earth. Hidden behind the Himalayan Giants of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna. It is opened for a limited number of tourists. Lo Ma Manthang (Mustang) is located north of main Himalayan chain between the snow-leopard mountains to the east and west-bordering Tibet. There is a relatively wide and leveled ridge towards the North with passes not higher than 4600m.It has carving of many dibities on the stone walls. Villages are located in the valley in the altitude of 3300m to 4ooom.where important historical side are located. It was an important salt trending post in the trans-Himalaya belt.
The trek follows the ancient trade route, passing through historic towns and eventually ending at the capital city of Lo Manthang.

Place to visit in Nepal

Kathmandu

The capital city of Nepal is Kathmandu. The largest Himalayan state in Asia. It has been the center of Nepal’s history, art, culture and economy. Little wonder perhaps, that the city has also deftly embraced the tourist business. Well this temple city boasts of its cultural heritage through its highly illustrated seven groups of monuments that display the full range of historic and artist achievement which the valley is world famous for. The heritages include Durbar Square of Hanuman Dhoka, Patan, and Bhaktapur, the Buddhist stupe of Swayambhu and Baudhanath and the hindu temple of Pashupatinath and changunarayan.

Kathmandu Durbar Square

Durbar Square is located in the center of Kathmandu. Around central Durbar Square/ there is a royal place, pagodas, courtyard, temples and kumari house, the residence of the living goddess Durbar Square was surrounded with spectacular architecture and vividly show. The Kathmandu Durbar Square held the palaces of the Malla and Shah kings who ruled over the city. Along with these palaces, the square surrounds quadrangles, revealing courtyards and temple cases the great skills of the Newar artists and craftsmen over several centuries.
There are many temples here also. The most notable build is Taleju Temple dedicated to the female royal deity, Taljeu Bhawani. This ultra-sacrosanct temple is opened only once airline year and only the king and certain priests can enter it. Kathmandu Durbar Square has been declared a World Heritage Sites by UNISCO.

Bhaktapur Durbar Square

The outer perimeters of the complex are replacing with pillars and pavilions, ON the other side of the square is the vantage Nyatapola Café, and beyond it is the community of the famous potters.

Patan

Patan Durbar Square is situated at the centre of the city of Lalitpur in Nepal. It is one of the three Durbar Squares in the Kathmandu Valley, all of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. One of its attraction is the ancient royal palace where the Malla Kings of Lalitpur resided.Patan offers a pleasant alternative to the Kathmandu scene. Its culture is more intact, yet it has sufficient restaurant and facilities.
Patan is filled with wood stone carvings metal, statues, ornate, architecture including dozens of Hindu and Buddhist temples and over 1200 monuments. The city is known for its rich tradition of arts and handicrafts and as the birthplace of master craftsmen and artists such as Araniko and Kuber Singh Shakya.

Pashupatinath

The most sacred Hindu Temple in Nepal, it is dedicated to Lord Shiva, In February March, the sides hold the famed Maha Shivaratri, The great night of Shiva. For all Pashupatinath. The Pashupatinath complex is very large, with guesthouse, temples, shrines, and other landmarks.
Its burning ghats on the river banks are the holiest in Nepal. Pashupatinath has been declared a World Heritage Sites if UNISCO. The largest complex in Nepal. It stretches on the both side of Bagmati river which is considered by Hindus. The main Pagoda style temple has aglided roof, four sides covered in silver and wood carving of the finest quality.

Baudhanath

Baudhanath is situated at North East of Kathmandu. It is the largest Stupa in Nepal that rises for 36 meters. This Stupa is build by Lichhivi King Manadeva in the fifth century AD. It is a various level of terraces, and its painted in pastel, and it adorned with a prayer flags. It is set in the mandala design.
The Baudhanath is constructed on an octagonal base on a flat land in the center of Tibetan settlement. Altogether 108 images and 147 of prayers wheels adorn the base of the huge circle edifice. The settlement of Baudhanath has the largest community of Tibetans-12000 in all.

Swayambhunath

Swayambhunath is a Buddhist stupa on a western hill of Kathmandu. More than 2500 years old this ancient landmark is connected to visit the of Manjushree who created Kathmandu a lake then by draining its waters. The sage saw a celestial lotus in the bloom of top of this hill and sanctified it.
The Stupa of Swayambhu is a hemispherical mound of compacted earth, and is built to specific rules and is replete with symbols. The pilgrimage process to swyambhunath holy premises is actually through a syvlen path of 365 steps. The entrance is graced buy a huge vajra (symbol of thunderbolt). Statues of Buddha are in four corners of stupa. Tatues of Goddesses Ganga and Jamuna guard the eternal flame behind it.

Changu Narayan

The temple of change Narayan is the oldest existing pagoda in the Kathmandu valley. It is situated atop a ridge to one side of the valley and dates back to the firth century. The lavishly ornamented two storied temple offers one of the finest example of pagoda architecture lie scattered around the courtyard, most notably images depicting different manifestation of Vishnu. Changu narayan has been declared a World heritage sites by UNICCO.

Dhulikhel

A 45-minute drive from Kathmandu takes visitors to dhulikhel, a popular tourist and picnic spot for domestic and as well as foreign tourists. The population free has been attracted visitors since long time due to its clean and joyful environment.1000 of people use to visit there every day. The people in dhulikhel are Brahmin, Newar, Tamang, Chhetri and Dalit drinking water in dhulikhel is some of best water in the Nepal. Among many high mountains, mansalu, lamjung, ganesh, langtang, can be seen from dhulikhel.it is open museum for Newari arts and culture.As many suitable place to visit like banepa, valthali, panauti and Khopasi are located nearby Dhulikhel is in fact the eastern tourist site from the valley.

Nagarkot

Nagarkot is hill station 32 km east of Kathmandu. It is one of the most scenic sports located in Bhaktapur districts where hundreds of Nepalese and foreign tourists travel to view the spectacular sunrise and Himalayan ranges. Most attracted place of the Bhaktapur district. The panoramic mountain scenery and diversity of beautiful landscape will enchant you and make your visit one of the best visit of experiences. Moat Nepali prefer nagarkot for picnic and educational tours. Short trek from nagarkot are unique and delightful. This place is easily accessed by road, by cycling or by hiking and offers a large variety of accommodation facility from simole and suitable lodges. Chitwan

The Chitwan National Park is Nepal’s treasures of natural wonders and the first national park. The park situated at the south plain of Terai id 4-hour drive from Kathmandu. Hundreds of visitors’ flock to the park annually due to its wildlife allure. Once one of the most famous big game hunting areas in Asia. Chitwan now offers protection to a large array of mammals such as the one-horned rhinoceros, tiger, leopard, sloth bear and the gaur (wild bison) as well as more than 400 species of birds.
National Park in the inner Terai of central Nepal is the first and best-protected area in the kingdom. Higher in the North between 2000 and 3500 meters lies the Mahabharat range with its oak crowned crests. The gorgeous multicolored Impeyan Pheasant (Nepali National Bird) is also found here with other endangered birds like the kolas and cheer pheasants. Langtang, Sagarmatha, Shey-Phoksundo and Rara national parks are the protected high altitude areas of Nepal.

Pokhara

Pokhara is a famous lake city in the mid-western Nepal. The tourist hotspot is 6 hours’ drive or it is reachable by 20 minutes flight from Kathmandu. It lies in the lap of the magnificent Machhapurchhre peak. Bindavasini & Baraha temple, devi’s fall, Mahendra cave,Tibetan Refuguee campsite river, gorge, Sarangkot and world peace Temple (hill station and sunset and viewing mountain ranges).

Mahendra Cave

It is an interesting natural site across the Seti River past Batulechaur village in the north of Pokhara valley. It is one of the few caves had not yet been fully explored and it may conceal more than the present first galleries .There is lighting arrangement inside the cave but torchlight is worthwhile to explore the interior.

Phewa Tal

The lake in the immediate vicinity of the city is Phewa Tal with island temple dedicated to goddess Barahi in the middle with its serene and a nicely preserved forest on the adjoining southern slope, this legendary second largest lake of the kingdom remains a major source of attraction for the visiting tourists. It can be explored in canoes locally known as doonges which are available on rent at several points on the lake. This lake can also be enjoyed by swimming and fishing.

Bindavasini & Bahari Temple

It is located on the top of beautiful mound of overlooking the most popular areas of the pokhara city the road to Sarankot starts from the foot of this mound It is much reverse Hindu temples are also allowed to enter.
Bahari Temple situated on a small island in the middle of Phewa Tal. A stop at this serene temple after a canoe ride is really worthwhile. There is a nice Buddhist monastery on the top of small forested hill above matepani east of Mahendrapul.it overlooks the majority of pokhara areas.

Sarankot

To enjoy an eye feast of the Annapurna range to north and overlook the Fewa tal valet to pokhara to the south and east. You can walk uphill for three hoppers form the foot of Bindabasini temple along a ridge track northwest of the valley and get to sarangkot.

Seti River Gorge

The seti river carves a deep course throughout the city areas of Pokhara from beggar in the north to sita paila in the south. The deep gorge can be view from any bridge over the seti river. Another amazing course is carved by patale chhango popularly known as Devids Fall in the southern flank of the Pokhara valley left of Soddharth collapses and surges down the rock into deep George, leaping through several potholes before taking a final plunge.

Lumbini

Lumbini, the hollowed cradle of Buddhism, is the celebrated birth palce of Lord Buddha. Its history dates back to the time of his birth around 560 BC.Eeven in the serene era ,Lumbini ihad attained great heights of Civilization and prosperity. Kapilvastu

Located some 27 kmwest of Lumbini lies the ruins of historic town of Kaplivastu. Believed to be the capital of Sakya republic where the Lord lived and enjoyed his life until his thirtieth year, Kapilvastu has been identify with Tilaurakot by the archaeologists. Also, the place is believed to have been associated with different important episodes There are ruins and mounds of old stupa and monasteries made of king burnt bricks and clay –morter the ramin are surrounded by moat and the walls of the city are made of bricks. In fact, the ruina of the city of kapil vastu are in a such grand scale that it could easily by visualized as seat of high culture.

Aroarakot

About 10km northwest of Taulihawa there is a rectangular fortified area, which is popularly kwon as Arourakot. Thefortified area was identified by the famour Idian archeaologist p.c. Mukharji as the natal town of kanakmuni Bauddha remains of ancient moat and brick fortification around the kot can still by clearly located. Abrick lined well is seen to south and an evaluated mound towards the northwest corner.
